  • Resolution Resolution is a measurement of the number of pixels that can be contained on a display screen. The higher the pixel count, the better the resolution, and the more detail you can see on screen.

  • Processor The processor acts as the brain of the TV, optimising both picture and sound up to an 8K experience. With 768 AI neural networks, NQ8 AI Gen3 uses 3x more AI neural networks than the NQ8 AI Gen2.

  • Contrast Quantum Matrix Technology is Samsung’s proprietary technology that utilizes Quantum Mini LEDs to create great details in both the darkest and brightest scenes. The Quantum Matrix Technology Pro has 1.5x more lighting zones than normal Quantum Matrix Technology.

  • AI Upscaling AI Upscaling technology uses AI neural networks to transform content up to an 8K resolution. 8K AI Upscaling Pro technology is powered by 3x more AI neural networks than normal 8K AI Upscaling.

  • HDR HDR stands for High Dynamic Range and refers to a technology that more accurately expresses visual detail in both very bright and very dark scenes.

  • One Connect Box A One Connect Box is a device that you can plug your TV input devices into, instead of your TV, to simplify cable management. The Wireless One Connect syncs wirelessly to your TV, while the standard One Connect must be linked to your TV via a cable to transmit data.

  5. Bixby: Voice commands and multi turn is supported for 10 languages (US/UK/IN(en)/DE/FR/IT/ES/BR/MX/KR). Not all accents, dialects and expressions recognized. Q8F and above support far-field mics. Q7F and above support TV remotes. U8000F needs a SmartThings mobile remote.
  6. NQ8 AI Gen3 Processor: Upscaling may not apply to PC connection and Game Mode.
  7. Glare Free: UL’s verification validates the ‘Glare Free’ claim by assessing the products against Unified Glare Rating (UGR) testing standards set by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) and testing standards set by the International Organization for Standardization. Results based on test conducted under indoor lighting conditions.
  8. Motion Xcelerator 240Hz: 4K 240Hz is only available with PC connected games that support such specifications (PC graphic card required). Performance may vary.
  9. Wireless One Connect: TV requires a separate power connection. Operating distance can vary depending on the usage environment. Wireless One Connect may not work well if there is an obstruction, such as a wall, hindering its connection to the TV within your home. Wireless One Connect may not work properly if placed inside a closed metal cabinet. QN990F supports FreeSync Premium Pro only when the input source is connected to the TV's MICRO HDMI port.
